The training path for virgin olive oil tasters organised in Rome by OP LATIUM came to a close on 15 July.
The trainees, who had already obtained the physiological suitability certificate by attending the first course held from 23 to 27 February, completed their training by taking part in the 20 sensory-testing sessions required for registration in the National Register of Technicians and Experts of Extra Virgin and Virgin Olive Oils.
During the sessions, more than 60 oils from all over Italy were “tasted” and discussed, in order to hone each participant’s skills and technical ability so they could be called on to take part in professional panel tests.
Congratulations to all the new tasters who, during these hot June and July days, always showed enthusiasm and great passion.
This activity is carried out by OP LATIUM as part of a campaign funded with the contribution of the European Union and Italy, EU Reg. 611/14, Activity 4, Action 4F – 2nd Year 2016-2017.
