OP LATIUM publishes weekly phytosanitary bulletins for guided control of the olive fruit fly in the Sabina Zone: a concrete tool to help olive growers protect their groves with targeted, effective and sustainable treatments.
What is guided control
Guided control is an integrated pest management approach that, based on field monitoring and agrometeorological data, indicates when and how to act against the olive fruit fly (Bactrocera oleae). This avoids unnecessary treatments, reduces costs and environmental impact, and protects the quality of the olives and the oil.
A new bulletin every week
The service, published on a weekly basis, covers the Sabina Zone and is produced in collaboration with Regione Lazio, the Regional Phytosanitary Service, CREA-PAV and ARSIAL. The bulletins can be viewed and downloaded in PDF format.
Where to find the bulletins
The updated bulletins are available on the AgroAmbiente Lazio portal: view the phytosanitary bulletins for olive fruit fly control.
