You’ll find us at stand A12 in hall 4, ready to present two operational groups funded under sub-measure 16.2.1 of the Lazio RDP 2014-2020: VALSARE and MONIOLITECH.
VALSARE Project: Fighting climate change in the olive-growing supply chain by valuing pomace and pruning residues aims to develop solutions to increase the profitability and sustainability of olive groves, through the management of by-products of the olive-growing and oil supply chain such as pruning residues and pomace. In this way, through product and process innovation, a critical issue – the disposal of by-products and waste from the olive-growing supply chain – will be turned into a strength.
MONIOLITECH Project: Hi-tech monitoring for the sustainable management of the olive grove ecosystem in Lazio aims to tackle and solve the problem of manual monitoring of the parameters needed to implement correct and sustainable cultivation practices, through a system dedicated to technical assistance for olive growers, based on ICT technologies and able to inform and guide farms in their main cultivation practices. It will be an easily accessible (user-friendly), web-based service, where each olive grower will find the spatial information needed to carry out irrigation and olive tree protection sustainably, in relation to the spatial and temporal position of the olive trees, following a precision-farming approach.
