On November, 8 at 17:30 the project for the recognition of the P.G.I. “Roma” will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone. The project has been conceived and promoted by OP LATIUM with the aim to add value to the Extra Virgin Olive Oil of superior quality produced in the territories of Latium and to support its marketing.
The dossier for obtaining the P.G.I. (Protected Geographical Indication) “Roma” has been developed by the Technical-Scientific Committee of OP LATIUM in collaboration with Arsial, Chamber of Commerce of Rome and Unioncamere; it has already been deposited with the Lazio Region and the Ministry of Agriculture for its following transmission to European Union offices.
“[i]The P.G.I. of the oil from Lazio[/i]” – explains David Granieri, President of OP LATIUM – “[i]will allow olive growers to increase their income margins through a more structured promotion of the Extra Virgi Olive Oil of quality produced in our region[/i]”.
Tuesday November, 8 in Frosinone, in addition to the President Granieri, also the Regional Councillor for Agriculture Carlo Hausmann, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone Marcello Pigliacelli, the director of Coldiretti Lazio Aldo Mattia and the President of Coldiretti of Frosinone Vinicio Savone will be speaking.
